Today is a great day. We first dreamed of it, then hoped for it and, finally, waited for it: “Vaccine Day” is finally here in our company. The new headquarters of the VAG Group, which we named Extra, becomes a vaccine hub serving not only Rivacold and Vitrifrigo, but also other companies in the area.

The adherence of the workers in the companies involved is very good: the administration of the first dose of the Pfizer serum began this afternoon in a space set up in collaboration with our company doctor, Dott. Flavio Iecher, SEA, a consultancy company for safety at work and Biolab, which, under the guidance of the project manager Dott. Michele Calcinari, provided the specialized personnel and health devices.

We followed the protocol for companies that wanted to make themselves available for this important operation: defined routes for entry and exit, check-in and anamnesis desks, two injection stations, an observation area. An efficient system capable of vaccinating groups of 30 people every 30 minutes, without queues or crowds.

Roberta Vitri, Vice President of the VAG Group, was among the first to receive the vaccine, and she emphasizes how this day was strongly desired by the company to contribute to the return to normality desired by all.

“Because of the sense of responsibility that we have always had towards our employees and this entire region, we took action to offer this additional possibility: concrete support for the safety of the factories and all working environments. We must protect the continuity of production now that the market has finally restarted and we want to help our families to get out of the situation we experienced, also from a social point of view. In fact, with mass vaccination, not only can activities strictly related to business (trade fairs, events, company visits) resume with greater peace of mind, but also all the events that make our region a great place to live and work.”

The Group’s new headquarters, which will be officially inaugurated in the coming months and which has a large auditorium, multimedia meeting rooms, spaces for conventions and events, as well as a company restaurant, is named Extra precisely because it is intended for occasions that, while outside the normal professional routine of offices and plants, offer a more complete and profound experience of the wonderful world of VAG.

Its first use as a vaccine hub against Covid-19 underscores, significantly, how often what is considered extra is, in fact, something irreplaceable and that the all-around commitment of a large company can truly make a difference to an entire community.
